How to rent a motorbike in Sapa

Tips and price

If you have plan to stay at Sapa in the weekend or holiday time, you should contact your hotel or motorbike rental a few day before you trip, because in that time a lot of people will rent motorbike so you difficult to rent a motorbike or with high price.

As usual, a motorbike rent from 7am to 9am without petrol and can’t go outside of Sapa cost about 100.000 VND for non-automatic and 120.000 VND for automatic (scooter) per day

Before ride motorbike your should:

  • Check for the front and rear, horn, light, break. You should take a picture about the number of bike. It is mountain road so make sure to check the good break.
  • Check the damage on the bike if available and let the bike owner know to avoid being penalized.
  • You should choice the later bike generation.
  • After rent a new motorbike, go to nearest gas station to refuel. If you buy on the village it will cost high price.
  • In addition, rent a motorbike to go around village is cheap but very interest trip.
  • Be careful if it have small rain or fogy, the road is wet and slippery, you should slow down the motorbike.
